All of the known pathogenic viruses, such as HIV-1 and HCV, pose significant threats to public health.Recent emergence of highly pathogenic virus and wide spread of resistance to available antiviral drugs, i.e., SARS and avian influenza virus, aroused serious concerns on a great risk of future pandemics, and thus there is a urgent need to exploit new drug targets and develop therapeutics to control viral infections.
