Generation of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells in vitro,especially generation of safe therapeutic hematopoietic stem cells,still remain inefficient because lack of effective and safe technology.Zebrafish has proved to be a facile system for chemical genetics,and has been used to identify a variety of pathways regulating organogenesis including hematopoiesis.
