Nitrogen (N),caused non-point pollution, has a major impact on water quality in mountain watershed.where the domestic water is river water. This study was carried out in YingWugou(Y) watershed,Shaanxi province,China. The objective of this study was to understand the water flow process of each sampling site (Y1,Y3,Y4,Y5,Y6) and the mechanism of nitrogen (N) loss in runoff with three typical storm events. The results showed rainfall (precipitation, pattern) have significant effect on process of runoff. Each peak flow of runoff had different responses to its peak rainfall when the precipitation were 45,11.2 and 4mm with Rainfall event l(E1),Rainfall event 2(E2) and Rainfall event 3(E3),respectively.
