  Neural stem cells (NSCs) could be applied for neuronal regeneration and structural brain repair only when they migrate within the CNS and reach the precise regions where neuronal replacement is required.When the brain was injuried,NSCs in the hippocampus and subventxicular zone (SVZ) of the adult changed their migratory route and moved toward the injury site.In present study,we observed the migration and differentiation of neural precursor cells (NPCs) derived from murine embryonic stem (ES) cells when transplanted into the Aβ-injuried hippocampus of rats.Correlation between migration distance and differentiation ratio of the engrafted NPCs was also analyzed.Murine ES cell line MESPU35,which expressing enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP),was differentiated into nestin-positive NPCs with modified serumfree methods before transplantation.
