Helpful, many benefits. A new study reported by the British “Daily Mail” reminds us that doing good not only helps one another but also improves the body’s resistance to disease. Researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of North Carolina have jointly conducted a 10-year study that first explored the relationship between psychological traits and human gene expression, recently published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences Results of the study. They took blood and tested 80 healthy adult volunteers and thoroughly assessed their well-being. The results showed that the happiness of different sources, by changing a person’s gene expression level, and thus affect their health status.
