荔枝是当前国内外市场供不应求的名贵果品之一。生产上由于存在“花多实少”,产量低而不稳,严重限制了荔枝生产的迅速发展。原因很多,主要是长期管理粗放,施肥不足,特别是春季花期气候多变,低温、阴雨、干风,不利蜜蜂传粉。采用人工授粉,可以大大提高着果。田间收集花粉费工费时,短期内又无法满足大面积果园特别是边远地区需要。为此,作者于1981～1984年对利用蜜蜂花粉团进行室内发芽及室外荔枝人工授粉试验。现将初步结果分述如下: Lychee is currently one of the most expensive fruits in short supply at home and abroad.
