安溪县城西拦河闸景观绿水工程位于晋江西溪干流与蓝溪支流汇合口下游900 m处,是一座以抬高水位,增强城市亲水感观,提高城市品位,使之达到美化水环境和改善投资、生活环境为目的的景观水利工程。拦河闸坝址以上流域面积2463km~2,设计正常蓄水位44.90m,相应库容470.04万m~2,库面面积1.215km~2,形成闸址上游西溪干流长5.58 km、蓝溪支流长2.94 km的人工湖面。
