An important factor limiting the modulation bandwidth of a semiconductor laser is its high frequency circuit parameters. A matching compensation circuit is designed to reduce the effects of the circuit parameters while achieving impedance matching between the semiconductor laser and the signal source. Experimental results show that this can greatly improve the modulation frequency and bandwidth of the semiconductor laser
