2001年《军队转业干部安置暂行办法》颁布实施以来,我区各级党委、政府和驻桂部队各级组织,在党中央、国务院、中央军委的领导下,把军转安置工作作为事关国防和现代化建设、事关改革发展稳定大局的一件大事,作为国家和军队的一项重要制度,摆上位置,统筹谋划,落实政策,使全区军转工作沿着“坚持为经济社会发展和军队建设服务”的正确方向,在开拓中前进、在继承中发展、在改革中创新,取得了显著成绩。
