我厂石油酯、氯化石油酯在磺氯酰化和氯化工序上投产以来一直采用光化法。在光源的选择上,曾先后使用过紫外光灯、高压汞灯,今年以来又试用了黑光灯,情况良好,反应速度、耗电量、投资费用、操作控制和安全生产等各方面均优于紫外光灯和高压汞灯,现已正式应用于大生产中。光化反应在一定的光强范围内,决定于光的波长。磺氯酰化、氯化反应中参与反应的SO_2和Cl_2在光波波长3000~3600A时较易离解。黑光灯的波长约为3600A,可能还有部分能促使SO_2和Cl_2离解的可见光,因此可推广试用于类似的光化反应。
