美国农业部与美国林业工作者协会根据中美科技交流协定于1981年8月派遣了以Stanley L.Krugman为首的,由各大学森林遗传和林木改良专家、教授组成的六人考察小组到我国进行考察。考察地点为北京、哈尔滨(包括带岭)、武汉、南京、杭州、广州(包括佛山),历时共26天。不久前一位美国朋友寄给我该考察小组1983年写的题为“中华人民共和国的森林遗传和林木改良(Forest Genetics and Tree Improvement in the People’s Republic of China)”的报告。该报告共84页,有图表共15个,报告了我国的林业组织机构、森林概况、引种、种源试验、种子园和后代测验、组织培养和插条繁殖、杂交工作以及与林木改良有联系的苗木经营和森
In August 1981, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the American Association of Forestry Workers dispatched six visiting study teams headed by Stanley L. Krugman and experts from universities of forestry and forest improvement, professors to China based on the agreement on science and technology exchange between China and the United States. Inspected The study locations were Beijing, Harbin (including Belt), Wuhan, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Guangzhou (including Foshan) for a total of 26 days.
