党和政府提出的向科学大进军的号召,正在鼓舞着我国成千科学工作者。作为一个地质工作者,我想说说我的看法和意见。十二年内接近或到达国际水平,对地质科学来说,是一项光荣而艰巨的任务。我们有着完成这一任务的一切必要条件,也具备着充分的决心和信心,但我们还必需拿出办法和措施来。这里面有一些要靠国家的计划来支持,另一些则更要靠地质工作者的主观努力。为了完成这一任务,我觉得我们应当向下列的

Approaching or reaching the international level within 12 years is a glorious and arduous task for the geological sciences.
