There have been few reports of a series of changes in the human brain following severe hypoglycemic injury. The authors used repeated CT scans and MRIs to study the brain-like changes in the state of the plant after severe hypoglycaemia in four diabetic patients and compared them with the changes in human brain after the same method of cardiac arrest. Results From the onset to day 14, continuous CT scans of all hypoglycemic patients showed persistent low-density lesions and transient enhancement in the caudate and putamen, while only transient enhancement in the cerebral cortex. From 8 days to 12 months after onset, continuous MR imaging showed consistent long-lasting symmetry damage on the T 1 and T 2 weighted images of the caudate, putamen, cerebral substantia nigra and / or hippocampus, respectively. The results of this study and review of the literature show that: First, neuroradiology confirms that hypoglycemic damage can occur in the human brain with a special symmetry after hypoglycemic coma. Second, this hypoglycemia
