作者先前的研究结果表明丁酸可在小鼠胸腺、脾T细胞及人Jurkat T细胞中产生细胞毒性及凋亡。本文研究的目的是为了支持一种假设,即丁酸可通过经凋亡途径的T细胞死亡来调整牙周组织中免疫调节细胞群体数量。作者进一步测试了丁酸调节人外周血单个核细胞的增殖和凋亡,及脂多糖(LPS)在丁酸诱导的人外周血单个核细胞上的作用。
Previous author’s findings suggest that butyrate can produce cytotoxicity and apoptosis in mouse thymus, splenic T cells and human Jurkat T cells. The purpose of this study was to support the hypothesis that butyrate regulates the number of immunomodulatory cell populations in periodontal tissue by T cell death via the apoptotic pathway. The authors further tested the effect of butyrate on the proliferation and apoptosis of human peripheral blood mononuclear cells and the effect of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) on butyric acid-induced human peripheral blood mononuclear cells.
