1962年初,在我们尊敬的前辈、中国肾脏病学科三位奠基人之一的邱传禄教授领导下,成立华山医院肾脏病专业组,并于同年在国内率先开展肾穿刺活检和腹膜透析治疗,1979年正式建科。90年代,在现任中华肾脏病学会主任委员、中华肾脏病杂志主编林善锬教授的带领下,通过全科工作人员的不懈努力,华山医院肾脏科在医、教、研各方面均取得了令人瞩目的成绩,分别获得国家教委科技进步二等奖2次,卫生部科技进步三等奖1次。至今共获得科研基金33项,其中包括国外基金(CMB)1项,国家自然科学基金8项,卫生
