1983年,我国考古工作者在广州象岗发掘了两千多年前南越国第二代王赵眛(公元前15年?-前122年)的陵墓,出土了大量精美绝伦的玉器,震惊中外。岭南地区,在历史上一向被视为“蛮夷之地”(司马迁《汉书》),是缺乏文明传统的地方。而今,在它的腹地发掘出如此灿烂辉煌的玉器,不得不使人们对岭南地区的文化历史刮目相看。南越王墓玉器的出土,为我们考察和研究中国玉器工艺的历史,乃至中华民族文化的历史,提供了极其宝贵的材料和依据。
In 1983, Chinese archaeologists unearthed the mausoleums of the second generation king of South Vietnam, more than 2000 years ago, in Xianggang, Guangzhou (15 BC - 122 BC) unearthed a large number of exquisite jade articles, shocking both China and foreign countries . The area of Lingnan has historically been regarded as “the land of barbarians” (Sima Qian’s “Han”), a place lacking in civilized traditions. Today, in its hinterland unearthed such a brilliant brilliant jade, had to make people admiration for the cultural history of the Lingnan region. The unearthed jade artifacts of Nanyue King Tomb provide us with extremely valuable materials and basis for our investigation and study of the history of Chinese jade crafts as well as the history of Chinese culture.
