所谓文献资源共享,是指在一个国家、地区文献信息网络内,有关的文献资源均可供特定的图书情报机构、特定的用户或者网络成员,按照互惠互利、互补余缺的原则,进行一种协调和共享。文献资源共享一直是本世纪国内外图书情报界研究的重要课题。我国文献资源共享虽然起步较早,但进展缓慢。究其原因,就是目前我国还不完全具备实现文献资源共享的条件。那么,实现文献资源共享的条件是什么呢?
