翻译是指从语义到文体在译语中用最切近、最自然的对等语再现原语的信息。也就是说翻译要求译作与原作有相同的信息、相同的思想,相同的意境以及相同的文体风格等。因此,对等是翻译的基础,一般来说,取得翻译对等越多,译文质量也就越高。翻译对等包括的范围很广,但从总体上说不外乎二个方面:语义对等(semantic equivlence)和文体、风格对等(stylistic equivalence)。本文着重就如何取得这两方面的对等作一粗浅探讨。 Translation refers to the translation of primitives from semantics to style in the most recent and most natural equivalents. In other words, the translation requires the translation of the same information as the original, the same thought, the same artistic conception and the same stylistic style. Therefore, equivalence is the basis of translation. Generally speaking, the more equivalence of translation, the higher the quality of translation. Translation equivalence includes a wide range, but generally speaking, there are no more than two aspects: semantic equival and stylistic equivalence. This article focuses on how to achieve these two aspects of the reciprocal for a superficial discussion.
