The serum levels of pituitary gonadotropic hormone LH, FSH, plasma steroid hormones testosterone (T), estradiol (E2), progesterone (P) and dihydrotestosterone (DHT) were measured in 53 male criminals. 10 Hormone Indices and Testicular Volume of Hyperoxvrenosamine (DHA), Androstenedione (A), 17-OHP and Salivary Testosterone (sT), and 42 Non-sexual Crimes Male criminals as controls, found that ST values of sexual crimes group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P <0.001), E 2 was significantly lower (P <0.001), there was no significant difference in testicular volume between the two groups. It indicates that elevated levels of free testosterone (FT) and decreased E_2 are the endocrinological basis of sexual crimes committed by male violent sexual offenders. Because there was no difference of LH and FSH between the two groups, it is suggested that the male violent sexual offender may be related to the abnormal negative feedback regulation mechanism of the pituitary-TLF testicular axis.
