In this study, the change of soil moisture under artificial Pinus sylvestris, Pinus tabulaeformis and Picea pungens which grew normally in the Inner Mongolian Academy of Forestry was observed by using the dry weighing method. The results showed that during the whole growing season, the rainfall in the forest to the surface of the soil did not exceed 40 cm.
