The chemical balance of flotation agents, minerals and solutions is an important factor in determining the behavior of complex flotation systems. Salts such as calcite, apatite and the like are sparingly soluble in aqueous solutions, and after the ions of dissolved minerals enter the bulk solution , Interaction with other minerals can lead to mineral surface transformation; also with a variety of flotation agents interact to form the surface or bulk precipitation, the flotation lost selectivity. This paper discusses the solution balance of these salt minerals and their interactions with the agents. By controlling these interactions and the chemical equilibrium of the solution, better flotation selectivity can be obtained.
