我简要地谈一下对当前语言文字工作的几点意见。1.中央提出,当前从思想上要警惕右,但主要是防止“左”,我认为,语言文字工作中“左”的东西根深蒂固。“左”的“汉字落后论”“废除汉字论”和“汉字拉丁化”的理论和政策,严重地妨碍了我国的教育事业和语言文字研究工作的发展。比如,在“汉字落后论”“废除汉字论”和“汉字拉丁化”的理论指导下搞出的“第二批简化字”,用主观意志随意简化字,在社会上造成了文字使用的严重混乱和长期的不良后果。
I briefly talk about the current views on language work. 1. The Central Committee has proposed that we should be vigilant right from the ideological point of view at present, but mainly to prevent “leftist”. I think that the “leftist” thing in language and language work is deeply rooted.
