利用普通光源来诊断声带初期病变是有困难的。因为在疾病的初期(如早期声带癌),声带往往在发声时才表现出振颤异常。而在普通光源下,肉眼只能看清静止的或慢速运动的物体,看不清如声带之类高速振颤物体的结构和运动过程。但是,如果用一个频率适当的闪光束照亮声带,肉眼就可以看清声带的振颤过程,从而判断声带的运动功能。山东医学院和山东新华医疗器械厂联合研制的DDJ-2型电子动态喉镜就是一种利用适当闪光光源来观察鉴别声带振颤功能的现代
