数字,本身是枯燥无味的,它一旦进入形象思维领域,即能获得美的魅力。一、含蓄美王愿坚的小说《七根火柴》的结尾部分:“卢进勇悄悄地走到后卫连指导员的身边。映着那闪闪的火光,他用颤抖的手指打开了那个党证,把剩下的六根火柴,一根根递到指导员手里,同时,以一种异常的声调在数着一、二、三、四……”。他是在计数吗?对,又不对！他是在“数”对战友的无限哀思和无限敬仰;七根火柴包含着无名战士的宝贵生命,反映了红军战士无限忠于党的美的心灵与崇高形象,把生的希望送给同志,把死亡留给自己,用生命保存了这极其珍贵的东西。小说结尾,言已尽,意无穷。数字蕴藏的内容远比说出来更能感人之性,移人之情,是一种艺术上的深沉丰富的含蓄美。
