创新是人类进步的阶梯。回顾人类走过的历程,每一个进步都是创新的结果。小创新导致小的、局部的进步,大创新导致大的、全局的进步,而有的关键的创新则导致人类历史进入一个新的阶段。如火的使用,石器的发明,青铜器的发明,铁器的发明,蒸汽机的发明,发电技术的发明和使用,信息技术的发明和使用等等,都是人类进入一个新的历史阶段的基础和标志。而某一项小的创新,则导致该历史阶段生产力或大或小的发展,并为下一个关键的发明创造了前提和基础。可以说,没有一个又一个的创新,人类至今还是穴居野人,甚至还是古猿。
Innovation is the ladder of human progress. Recalling the course of human history, every progress is the result of innovation. Small innovations lead to small, local improvements, big innovations lead to big, global advances, and some key innovations lead human history into a new phase. The use of fire, the invention of stone, the invention of bronze, the invention of ironware, the invention of steam engines, the invention and use of power generation techniques, the invention and use of information technology, etc., are the foundations and symbols of mankind’s entry into a new historical stage .
