石油钻井工程需用大量套管,而且这些套管永远埋在地下,只有一次使用价值。套管所用的资金约占整个钻井成本的三分之一。据统计,六十年代苏联用于钻采工程的无缝钢管,约70%作为套管使用。因此,节约套管是十分重要和有意义的。目前我国在这方面还有潜力可挖,个别地区至今仍沿用苏联五十年代萨尔基索夫挤压公式来计算套管。实践证明其对管材抗挤强度计算值比实际值低50%以上。美国API标准中所用公式是比较适合于工程设计的经验公式,但进行二向应力的精确计算,工作量大,在现场采用手算有一定的困难。若仅进行粗略计算,误差可达20~30%。
