High Power Laser Nonlinear Optical Materials from Ultraviolet to Infrared Lasers are greatly enhanced by non-linear optical materials that allow wavelength shifting and tuning over a wide spectral range. Technological advances have been made in the development of several crystals from the ultraviolet to the far-infrared spectrum. For example, systems containing zinc phosphide errors at 3.5 W average power have been shown to be on the range of many mid-infrared atmospheric windows.
