Facebook announced that it has entered the fast-growing group buying market to challenge Groupon and Living Social, leaders in the online group buying market. Facebook said in the future will strive to provide differentiated services that can be shared among friends and ensure that these experiences are to maximize the sharing. This is the huge advantage social networks have: large numbers of users and detailed user preferences are unmatched by other online media.
