李是我国最古老的果树之一。《诗经》(公元前六——五世纪)中就有“丘中有李”和“华如桃李”的诗句,并且把“丘中有李”和“丘中有麦”并列,说明李树和当时人们作为主要粮食作物的小麦一样,受到人们的重视。《管子》(公元前五——三世纪)中有“五沃之土,其木宜梅·李”,表明已在栽培实践中注意到了土壤与作物之间的关系。《山海经》(公元前三世纪)上载有“灵山其木,多桃、李、梅、杏”,记述了李树的栽培范围。汉代“初修上林苑,群臣远方,各献名果异树”。其中收集到李15种,即紫李、绿李、朱李、黄李、青绮李、青房李、同心李、车下李(即郁李——樱桃属的一个种)、含枝
Li is one of the oldest fruit trees in our country. The Book of Songs (6th-5th century BC) contains the verses “There is Li in the Mound” and “Huaruo Tao Li”, and the words “There is Li in the Hill” and “The Wheat in the Hill” are juxtaposed.
