2014年11月25日《光明日报》第八版上,刊登了一篇驻柏林记者对一家在德的中国花木公司负责人刘红梅的访问记。访问记中让我震惊的一段话是:“高山杜鹃原产中国,是中国十大传统名花之一,野生品种占世界总量的57%,……100多年前,西方国家从中国引进高山杜鹃,并与当地品种杂交培育出了近万个高山杜鹃新品种,成就了年产值数十亿欧元的全球杜鹃花产业。欧美已经发展成为世界高山杜鹃的育种、创新和生产中心,年产量达8000多万株。”
