东洋本又称日本本,是指古代日本刊刻古籍。我国的雕版印刷术首传入朝鲜,然后又通过朝鲜入日本,日本人用之刊刻了多汉文书籍。唐朝时期,中文化交流十分密切,日本岛的各诸侯国曾向唐朝派出了几批遣唐使,使团人数最多一次达一百多人,唐朝的雕印本书也随遣唐使传到了日,至八世纪后期,日本就雕印了自己的木版《陀罗尼经》。本所刊刻的古籍,多用日本纸精印,近似高丽本,但在质、字体与装订等方面不及高本。有些书籍的行间往往注
