In the past decade or so, one of the factors that changed the overall picture of modern Chinese literature was the involvement of the literature in occupied areas. However, although the new version of literary history mostly increases the content of the enemy-occupied areas and thus shows the current frame different from the historical map of literary history, it still lags far behind the basic equilibrium of synchronic literature. To change this situation and truly restore the history of literature during the Anti-Japanese War, it is not enough to have Eileen Chang alone. As can be seen from the case of Lei Yan, a literary world in which North China fell into subjection to Meiniang, the consolidation of literary data in occupied areas needs to be strengthened.
