近两年,临朐县把大力发展个体私营经济作为安置下岗职工的一个重要渠道,制订了下岗职工从事个体私营经济的优惠政策。从工商、税务、市场等多种角度予以扶持,工商部门免费办理工商登记,三年内免收管理费:税务部门三年内减免营业税、所得税,城建、卫生等部门也都减免有关行政性收费。目前,全县已有八百名下岗职工在这些政策的扶持下成为个体营业者,人均年收入在五千元以上,使再就业之路在临朐同时成为创业之路。下岗职工王桂美创办了『丽姿美容美发保健中心』,不但解决了自己的再就业问题,而且还安置下岗职工三十多人,年收入达十多万元。目前,下岗职工从事的行业已发展到饮食、商业零售、电脑等二十多个领域。同时,临朐县把培训下岗职
