高中语文课本第三册《张衡传》“常从容谈静,不好交接俗人”一句中,“从容淡静”这个词组教材没有注释,《后汉书》上也无注解,一般词典和《辞海》上均无“淡静”的解释。表面看来这个词组很好理解,很多教者根据古汉语单音节词多的特点加以补充,解释为“从容不迫,淡泊宁静的意思”。学生对“淡泊”又不理解(中学教材未涉及这个词)于是只好再解释“淡泊”为“恬淡寡欲”。这样解释后,
