In the past decade, glucagon (glucagon) has often been regarded as a hormone, leading many studies to either confirm or deny this hypothesis. Evidence that is in favor of this view has rapidly accumulated, but the basis on which conclusions can be drawn remains lacking. Although this aspect has not been determined, it does not prevent many researchers from conducting a thorough research on the chemical, physiological and functional mechanisms of glucagon. Some recent reviews have discussed in detail the issues related to glucagon and also provided recent literature. Closely related to insulin antagonists, epinephrine and growth hormone
