湖北省图书馆成立于1994年,是我国最早建立的省级公共图书馆之一。它座落蛇山南麓,现有馆舍建筑2.5万平方米,截止2002年底,馆藏总量累计达407万册(件),建立了较完整、合理的藏书体系,近50个学科(领域)文献达到或接近达到研究级水平。凡与本省政治、经济、文化、科学发展相关的重要典籍基本齐备,对全省经济建设,科研生产和科学决策均有较强的支持能力,被警为“楚天智悔”。湖北省图书馆现设置18个部门,在职人员176名,具有专业技术职称人员157名,其中正高6名,副高33
Founded in 1994, Hubei Provincial Library is one of the earliest provincial public libraries in our country. It is located south of the Snake Mountain, the existing 25,000 square meters building construction, as of the end of 2002, a total of 4.07 million copies of the collection (pieces), the establishment of a more complete and reasonable collection system, nearly 50 disciplines (fields) Literature reached or approached research-grade. It is accused of being “Chutian Zhi regret.” Hubei Provincial Library now has 18 departments and 176 serving staff, 157 of whom have professional and technical titles, of whom 6 are masters and 33 are vice-highs.
