在当前改革开放的新形势下,中小学的德育工作应当怎么办?这是校长和老师关心的一个问题。党的十三届四中全会以来,中小学德育工作出现了转折。在各级党委统一领导下,政府、教育部门、共青团等各个方面在优化育人环境和加强学校德育工作方面,做了大量的工作,创造了不少的经验。几年来,各地中小学校加强了党的工作、思想政治工作和学生的德育工作。重视了对学生进行近现代史和国情教育、爱国主义教育和革命传统教育。广泛开展了学雷锋、学赖宁活动,开展了社会实践活动等等。这些工作取得了十分明显的效果:中小学生的爱国主义思想增强,社会主义信念增强;学习马列和毛泽东著作、申请入党入团的人数增多,好人好事增多;认识事物的能力提高,对社会看法的片面性减少。随着德育工作的加强,中小学生学习科学文化知识的积极性也明显提高,促进了德、智、体全面发展。
