今年5月1日10时40分,孔令剑驾驶襄樊市运鑫实业公司的鄂FA1968一辆大型普通客车(核载32人,实载54人),由襄樊市区往随州市方向行驶。车行至316国道襄阳区境1393公里+900米路段时,由于地面湿滑,车速过快,操纵失控,客车冲出道路左侧,撞上路边树木,车体倾翻并起火燃烧。事故导致闫某等6名乘客当场死亡,另有2名乘客伤后经抢救无效死亡,孔令剑及其他45名乘客受伤。经交警部门认定,超速、超载是事故发生的直接原因,司机孔令剑承担事故的全部责任。据6月3日《武汉晚报》报道,这起特大交通事故肇事司机孔令剑,已经被襄樊市襄阳区检察院依法批准逮捕。
