The European Commission warned that some exporters of fruits, if they can not meet the phytosanitary regulations by September 30 this year, will impose strict restrictions on imports of fruits and other special products. The European Commission DG-SANCO has informed the European Association of Fresh Products. The European Commission has written to the National Plant Protection Organization (NPPO) in Pakistan expressing its concern about the interception of pests from agricultural products imported from eight countries. These produce include mangosteen, pumpkin, guava, eggplant and citrus fruits from Pakistan;
