In the past, edible mushrooms were mostly cultivated in double seasons throughout the year. They were spring (from early February to the end of April) and autumn (from September to November). They were unable to grow for the rest of the year due to lack of air-conditioning facilities. In the past three years, we worked together with local garrisons and food teams to make successful use of solar hotbed (ie sunburst) to cultivate mushrooms in the harsh winter season (late November to early February). Solar hotbed different from the general sunburns, but the addition of solar collector pit, shop (dig) underground heat transfer and exhaust stack (see head perspective). It takes advantage of the solar radiant heat from the vault of the hotbed, but also makes use of the heat provided by the solar collector pit from the ground. In order to adapt to edible mushroom astigmatism, hotbed vault using colored agricultural plastic film.
