小塊电石一般是禁止在普通的乙炔发生器中使用的。因为小塊电石在与水作用时,接触而积此大塊电石为大,化学反应很快,这样,反应后的灰渣来不及排入桶内,往往堵塞电石容器的孔隙,造成爆炸事故。我厂设备科胡春祥同志提出了一项应用小塊电石的简易设备,实用结果表明,效果很好。这个设备(如图示)原则上和一般乙炔发生器没有什么不同。它的原理是这样的。直径为25~50公厘的小塊电石13堆放在两个平板2上,而这两个平板均可绕水平轴1转动。当发生器内还没有足够大的压力的乙炔时,
