本文将活跃于江南内河水运干道上的各类船夫纳入人文关怀的视野,分类考察这类迥异于田地上农作的“船上人”的真实生计状况,尝试着揭示出明清以来江南内河中这个不甚起眼的船夫群体与整个江南市镇经济体之间既休戚相关又若即若离的复杂关系。
