朱熹理学的合理价值主要表现为继承发展了孔孟的仁学,把仁提高到宇宙本体的地位,通过以生释仁,为人的生命生存提供哲学生存论的基础。朱熹的生——仁学说后来经过新安理学家戴震的创造性转化,建立了系统的富有中国特色的、具有普遍价值意义的生存论哲学,并与重视人的生存与发展的现代精神相衔接,为满足人民的物质文化需求和不断提高生活质量的愿望提供民族文化的基础。新安理学坚持以民为本,追求人类大同,提倡人际和谐、宗族和谐、社会和谐,为当代中国建设和谐社会以及建设和谐世界的主张提供了重要理论资源。
