五桔子或五倍子在我国原名文蛤,因它外形酷似海中的文蛤.别名很多,本草拾遗上叫百虫仓,本草纲目上叫法釀、百药煎,和汉药考上叫五去风,又有盐肤子、肤子、木桃儿、酸(?)、乌棓子、羊棓子等名称,简称棓子.它是指漆树科漆树属中盐肤木 Rhussemialats Murr 总叶柄两侧叶翅和小叶上,以及同属的青麸杨 Rhus potaninii Maxim 和红麸杨 Rhus Punjabensisvar.sinica Rehn & Wils 的小叶上,因蚜虫的寄生所形成的性质相类似的各种膨大的虫(?)而言.它是我国的一种重要林产品,也是西南地区农民所经营的一种重要副业。五棓子在医药上和有机化学工业上的用途都很广泛。目前我国所产五棓子,不仅供给了中內工业上的需要,而且还有相当数量连销国外。五棓子的生成及种类五棓子就是一种虫(?),系由同翅目蚜虫科的数种蚜虫刺伤寄主的叶子营寄生生活时所产生。当具有生和机能的寄主级织遭受此类蚜虫所给予的机械性和化学性刺激时,便局部呈畸形生长,膨大成瘿。成蚜孵产幼蚜于寄主组织时,幼蚜就得摄取营养,于是剌伤寄主组织的细胞,并分泌含有大量酵素的唾液,直接或间接使附近的细胞突然增剧它的新陈代谢作用,刺激细胞个体的分生,不断向外膨大。靠近虫体的细胞内部汁液被幼蚜吸食后,逐渐皱缩,中空而成(?)腔,
