我国世界近代史研究会成立大会暨学术讨论会于1984年5月6日至11日在沈阳举行。来自全国科研、高等院校、新闻出版等八十九个单位的一百二十九名代表出席了会议。大会收到论文六十三篇。这次会议主要讨论了世界近代史的体系问题和主要资本主义国家近代化道路问题。大会通过了研究会章程;选举、通过了由四十三名代表组成的研究会理事会及负责人名单,王荣堂任理事长,秘书长由程秋原副理事长兼任。为推动世界近代史的教学和科研工作的开展和
The Founding Conference and Symposium of the World Modern History Research Society of China was held in Shenyang from May 6 to 11, 1984. A total of 129 representatives from 89 institutes, including the national research institutes, universities and press and publications, attended the meeting. The conference received 63 articles. The meeting mainly discussed the system of modern world history and the modernization of major capitalist countries. The conference passed the constitution of the Research Council. The election passed the list of directors and directors of the Research Council composed of 43 delegates, and Wang Rongtang served as the chairman of the board.
