通风冷却风机,它的风量正比于转速,它的轴功率近似正比于转速的三次方。因此,只要把风机转速稍微调低一点,风量稍有减少,消耗的电能就能大幅度降低。这种风机面广量大。工况大体上可分两类:一类是工艺要求变风量,如纺织空调风机等。另一类工艺上并不要求变风量,少送一点风也能满足要求,如冷却塔(一种冷却制冷系统循环冷却水的设备)风机等。两类风机均可采用调速减风量的方法获得节能。
