凡是去过大庆油田的人,都有一个突出的感觉:一进油田和炼油厂,就见各种现代化的生产设备,可是,在那里却看不到巍峨辉煌的厂前区,没有富丽堂皇的大礼堂和招待所,而在四周是茂密的庄稼,万绿丛中有一幢幢整齐的土房子。这些土房子就叫“干打垒”。也许有人会问,这里的生产性建设是这样先进,为什么非生产性建设却那么简单呢?大庆人的回答是:我们住“干打垒”,就能使国家把建设资金、材料、运输力和劳动力更集中地用到油田建设上去。盖“干打垒”,住“干打垒”,不仅仅是个经济问题,还有重大的政治意义。大庆人说:看见“干打垒”,就想起了抗日战争时期的延安,住上“干打垒”,就想

These soil homes are called “barracks.” Some people may ask, the productive construction here is so advanced. Why is non-productive construction so simple? Daqing people’s answer is: We live in a “strike-for-treat” and can enable the country to build capital, materials, and transport capacity. And the labor force is more focused on the construction of oil fields. It is not only an economic issue, but also a major political significance. The Daqing people said: When they saw the “strike to the base”, they thought of Yan’an during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.
