In 1986, two fresco-walled tombs of the Song Dynasty were discovered at the construction site of the Anyang Municipal Machine Tool Factory- Based on the epitaphs unearthed from the tombs,the tomb owners belonged to the Zhao’s family. The Zhao’s family must have been a powerful clan since the tomb structures and paintings were all of high quality.
