实验验证了在半导体光放大器(SOA)中基于四波混频(FWM)效应的单抽运、垂直双抽运和平行双抽运对光正交频分复用(OFDM)信号波长变换特性。信号光源经2.5 Gb/sOFDM电信号直接调制后和抽运光耦合,经光放大器后在SOA中实现波长变换。实验结果显示,经SOA的FWM效应后,产生新波长的信号光将携带OFDM信号。实验测量了转换的OFDM信号的误码特性曲线图和星座图,结果表明,平行双抽运模型的系统功率代价最小。实验结果与理论分析是一致的。
The performance of single-pumped, vertical dual-pumped and parallel dual-pumped systems for optical Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) signal wavelength conversion in a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) was experimentally verified. The signal light source is directly modulated by the 2.5 Gb / s OFDM electrical signal and coupled to the pump light. After the optical amplifier, wavelength conversion is realized in the SOA. The experimental results show that, after the FWM effect of SOA, the signal light generating the new wavelength will carry the OFDM signal. The BER curve and constellation diagram of the converted OFDM signal are measured experimentally. The results show that the parallel dual-pumped model has the lowest system power cost. Experimental results and theoretical analysis are consistent.
