桂林市在1998年与原桂林地区合并,合并后的“大桂林”有480多万人口,辖5个城区12个县,面积2.3万平方公里。“大桂林”山青水秀,森林覆盖率高,特别是每个县都有十多个中、小型水库,这些水库就成了钓鱼爱好者的天堂。老陈等人是铁杆钓鱼迷,差不多都有15年以上的钓龄,特别热衷于去水库钓鱼,因为水库的鱼种多,风景美,是鱼塘不可比拟的。
